R.W. Blackwell ltd was established in 1963 by Roy Blackwell. Roy started the business as a plastering contractor and travelled all over Essex and from his high quality of work obtained the title of master plasterer. The business soon grew into a building company, where Roy and his employees carried on their high quality of work which has been consistent over the last 55 years.

We are a family run business bosting three generations of experience. Roy's family have always been heavily involved where daughter Suzanne, son in law George and grandson Ben work in the company. We have always made it our priority to go that bit further and give our customers something special, and all of our tradesman take great pride in their work. We specialise in listed buildings, renovating old buildings, new builds, extensions, barn conversions, swimming pools and one off projects, in fact all aspects of building. Many of our projects have been noticed by the Federation Of Master Builders and have won awards for, which we are very proud of.

We offer the complete building package and all our projects are managed by our own site managers to ensure a smooth transition of work.
